[TUT] How to change the colours of background and text of command prompt.

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type cmd > enter
4. Type: help color
A list of available colours will show up
The list will show number from 0 to 9 and letters from A to F
5. Type color 6 to have yellow text, color 4 to have red text, color A to have light green text etc.
6. To change the color of the text as well as the background: example, kung gusto natin ng light red background with light yellow text, just type:

This tutorial is about making your computer say everything that you type.

== Steps ==
1. Open up Windows Narrator. You can do this by going to Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Accessibility and then clicking on Narrator.
2. Open up Notepad. You can do this by going to Start --> run --> type in notepad then enter
3. After notepad opens up and you have narrator up, type words in the notepad.
4. Highlight the words in notepad.
5. Press CTRL+ALT+SPACEBAR
6. Your computer should say the words
7. then play the words by typing them into your text box

Hi, 

I'm writing this to hopefully keep you virus, spyware, adware, and malware free. This manual will hopefully educate you on malware, help prevent it and help remove it. 


So what's this 'malware' then?

So, what is 'Malware'? Malware is the name given to viruses, spyware, adware, trojans, keyloggers and all the nasty things you want to avoid when computing. Malware is a common issue with computers (especially Windows, lesser on Linux and Mac) because there's a wide variety of ways you can get infected by malware.



Symptoms of infections:

1. Redirects - a popular symptom is redirects, let's say you go to Google and it redirect you to some Russian website, you're most likely infected with a trojan so it's time to scan with your Anti virus, then your Anti malware.
2. Slow computer - Computer abnormally slow? You could be infected, run a scan.
3. Icons on desktop, you didn't put there - most likely an infection, scan!
4. Popups - I don't just mean the odd one, I mean quite a lot. If so, it's time to get scanning



Tips

1. Always keep your Antivirus and Antimalware up to date, it's useless if you don't.
2. Run a scan once in a while (don't go overkill and scan daily, it's just wasting time and energy)
3. Don't run more than one real time Antivirus together.
4. Don't visit shady serial websites, or porn sites that you don't trust.
5. Always run an Antivirus, in the event of a virus and you don't have one you will really wish you'd had one (as I found out a while back)
6. Use common sense while computing.

Top Ten Tips To Improve Computer System Speed

1. Let your PC boot up completely before opening any applications.


2. Refresh the desktop after closing any application. This will remove any unused files from the RAM.


3. Do not set very large file size images as your wallpaper. Do not keep a wallpaper at all if your PC is low on RAM (less than 256 MB).


4. Do not clutter your Desktop with a lot of shortcuts. Each shortcut on the desktop uses up to 500 bytes of RAM.


5. Empty the recycle bin regularly.
The files are not really deleted from your hard drive until you empty the recycle bin.


6. Delete the temporary internet files regularly.


7. Defragment your hard drive once every two months. This will free up a lot of space on your hard drive and rearrange the files so that your applications run faster.


8. Always make two partitions in your hard drive. Install all large Softwares (like PSP, Photoshop, 3DS Max etc) in the second partition. Windows uses all the available empty space in C drive as virtual
memory when your Computer RAM is full. Keep the C Drive as empty as possible.


9. When installing new Softwares disable the option of having a tray icon. The tray icons use up available RAM, and also slow down the booting of your PC. Also disable the option of starting the application automatically when the PC boots. You can disable these options later on also from the Tools or preferences menu in your application.


10. Protect your PC from dust. Dust causes the CPU cooling fan to jam and slow down thereby gradually heating your CPU and affecting the processing speed. Use compressed air to blow out any dust from the CPU. Never use vacuum.
